Iron and Steel

Regenerators

Regenerator in single or multi pass design is a common energy saving measure adopted. The basic requirement of the glassmaker from a regenerator is to maximize the heat recovery from outgoing gases apart from a long trouble free campaign life. This coupled with the increase in melting rates and use of alternative fuels have increased the severity of the working conditions in regenerator, subjecting the refractories to adverse chemical attack and high temperatures.
